Film & TV Language: Sound video feedback and learner response

 1) Type up your feedback from your teacher.

-Interesting choice of music, I thought that the music changed but it was actually part of the song, transition worked very well with the sound. Worked very well for the second half for the contrapunctual sound

-Eminem's scene did not work as well in terms of parallel sound

-Aside from sound, very impressive editing synced with the beat of the song


2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarise key points if several students give you similar feedback.

3) Now reflect on your work and write your own evaluation of your video. Write a 'What went well' (WWW) paragraph and a paragraph for 'Even Better If' (EBI) underneath the rest of your feedback.

I think the song went with the clip maybe even both clips, however, I did make a second video which followed the criteria much much better however it got deleted from youtube. However the current video did go along with the criteria somewhat, however a specific scene did break some part of the immersion.

4) Learner response: compare your own video against your evaluation of the top three videos in the class. Whose did you think was best and why? How could you have improved your own video?

I think that the other videos were pretty good as they met their criteria properly with the task however some people did have static images which did possibly break the immersion, however, my video used videos and the sound was also synced with the video which people did like but as the EBI says one scene did not fit in with the sound.

5) Finally, what have you learned about the importance of sound to film and TV through this week's work?

Sound is one of the most important aspects along with what is being shown on screen, sounds can also give a lot of context to a scene or maybe even an image, sounds can also give photos life such as getting an image and then putting some music that fits for it. Sounds can also be used to convey actions without the action being shown.
